Title bar in one row?

Hi,

I'm a photographer from Munich/Germany and I have a few questions regarding the customization of my site http://carlokoller.smugmug.com (carlokoller.com in a few days). The first one is if I can change the Top row of Links to be in one line on all screen sizes? I want to reduce the space between the Carlo Koller on the left and the Links, and the Social media stuff on the Right. My next problem is that I'd like to have the top bar transparent on my homepage so that the image below can shine through. Similar to the homepage of the Sierra design. Can you help me with that? Also I don't like the Symbol of the 500px icon in the top left. It looks more like a paper clip than a link to a photography site. Is it possible to change that? (I want an outdoor feeling on my site and not an office feeling lol). If you click on collection, you can see 3 pictures which will link to the galleries in the future, but I can only see them on my rMbPro and on my phone. On my iPad and on another nonrMbPro It's not visible. No idea why thats the case.

Thanks for your help:D

You can adjust the amount of space needed for each of the elements on your site header by changing the container width in the Dimensions dialog for each element. To get there, hover over the element and click the triangle representing dimensions.

You won't be able to fit your full header as is on a mobile device. There is just too much width there. The menu will automatically collapse. Or you can specify some CSS to reformat items while targeting a specific screen size. Take a look at http://www.aaronmphotography.com/Customizations/Sitewide/Screen-Width-Customizations for a starting point.

I can see that you have galleries containing photos if I go to http://carlokoller.smugmug.com/browse - but I don't see anything when I click on your menu links. Landscape, Cityscape, Wildlife, Blog, and About take me to empty pages. Collections takes me to a page that shows 3 missing images, but when I click on the empty images I am taken to a gallery. Does each of the galleries have a feature photo set? (I can't imagine why that would matter since without a feature image it usually shows the first one.)

What is <your site name>/Pages? Is Pages a folder? I'm a bit confused by that. For example, if I click Wildlife on your menu I am taken to http://carlokoller.smugmug.com/Pages/Wildlife - and that is empty. But if I click http://carlokoller.smugmug.com/Wildlife/ from browse I am taken to a gallery. Did you intend for the menu entries to take the viewer to a gallery?

I don't believe you can change the icon in the social icons section but you could replace that link with an HTML content block. Take a look at the thread Social icons.

Leftquark has a couple of social icon customizations (to change order or hover color) on this page - http://www.aaronmphotography.com/Customizations/Sitewide.

Thank you. The menu links are in one row on most screen sizes now. My fault was that I tried it in the Homepage tab on the right where the dimensions symbol doesn't appear. The links behind the menu are wrong. That was experimentation when I started out a few weeks ago. I'll fix that when I have the basic design of my website finished.
