A scream from the wife - yes the cat bought in another live mouse and dropped it. Eventually trapped it under a glass and took some pics (whilst holding it's tail) before releasing it back outside. Focus stacked using zerene.

Mouse or vole? I suspect the latter. Was its tail long and +/- smooth or short and furry?

One of my cats bring in more Short-Tailed Field Voles (principal diet of owls) than Wood Mice, the other small rodents in our garden.
