Up close with a Red-shouldered Hawk

While out shooting with Jack today I was amazed at how close I was able to get to the hawk.











He did fly down to eat something, I think a grasshopper but I didn't catch the capture.

Wow. I love them all, but #2 is my favorite. I like the fact that the feathers on his head stand out so nicely. Great job.
