#197 - Parts and Pieces - Results

I've got to wind this up, but there really aren't enough images to represent
a real Challenge. Therefore, I'll pick a #1 only, and that is "Cactus"
for his #3 - Chandelier parts.

I can't help but comment on a pet peeve of mine: watermarks. I understand
why people watermark photos, especially photos that are part of a group that
are intended for sale...wedding photos, sports photos, etc.

However, if the image is submitted for competition (even a casual one like this),
the watermark obscures what the photographer is trying to convey. It's
distracting.

I'll slip in a compliment to Jag's "Pieces of a Temple" here. Even though it's not
eligible, it really does capture the "Parts and Pieces" theme.

Thanks to those who submitted images.

So one of the downsides of only picking a #1 is that there is no one next in line to start the next mini-challenge if Cactus doesn't post one soon. Any thoughts on how to move forward?

I have pm'ed Cactus already. If nothing is heard from them in a day or so, Tony will have to pick a runner up.

Ok, looks like Paul (cactus) has come down ill and Tony will have to choose a runner up. Keep Paul in your thought and prayers, not life threatening but really down and out type of sick. Poor guy.

I was hoping that Cactus would return from gift shopping and hanging the outside
lights, but it seems he's away for the holidays.

My choice for Second Place is SLPollette for "Gift Wrap". Points for "seasonal".

If SLPolllette is also MIA, then #3 is Travelways for "Nails".

    I'm here!

Thanks for picking my photo for 2nd place. :D

Give me a little time to think up a good topic for the next mini. I'll try to get a new thread started tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Now to put my thinking cap on....
