Win8.1, Chrome and Collage Landscape Captions

Tried this in another forum area. No one answered. This issue also was mentioned late last year by Denise and was never resolved. In Collage Landscape galleries I have the caption info rollover activated on the Gallery thumbs. The rollover effect works fine on all of the browsers on Win 8.1 Pro except my favorite-64-bit Google Chrome. The captions are fixed over the thumbnails and obtrusive to say the least. I'm using the new Surface Pro3, 128GB, i5 processor. Any workaround CSS I should be aware of? Windows 8.1 and Chrome..popular combo these days. Couldn't find a resolution in various searches. Thanks. Jeff

Would you be able to post a screenshot of the issue? I'm trying to see if I can have one of the Support Heroes fire up a virtual machine running windows 8.1 and chrome to see if we can duplicate the issue. Unfortunately I don't have access to my virtual machines tonight but I wanted to comment on this so that I'd be subscribed to this and reminded to investigate further with the heroes!

Here's a screen shot of one of jkinglet's collage landscape galleries in Chrome on Windows 8.1 (at http://www.theavianzone.com/Warblers/). I've verified in his site as well - this issue only shows on Chrome; IE and Firefox show the gallery without the caption overlay.

Thanks! I'll make it clear that in the screenshot you can see that ALL of the caption overlays are displayed, even though they're only set to display on hover.

Thanks Denise, you beat me to it. Checked it out this a.m. Looks like it's back to the mobile version now instead of the rollover. Better than complete caption.

Just noticed if I contract the browser window size in 8.1 (double click) only the title shows stationary over the gallery thumbnail. A good thing. But if I expand the browser size to full screen, up pop the captions along with the title, fixed over the thumbnail. Just in case that helps figure this out. Jeff

Yea, that has to do with what we show based on browser size. Smalelr screens have some things hidden. It looks like it's coming down to how browsers handle tablet/hybrid devices in which they can act as laptops or also have touch-screens. Doing some more digging...

leftquark supplied some CSS that fixed this problem for the collage landscape galleries on my site. You'll find the CSS here. It's probably worth trying it on your site too.
