So I did my first ever trash the dress session back in the beginning of November. Since I finished a semester of grad school, I have some (very little) spare time to photo blog. Here are some of my favorites, and you can view the rest on my blog:

I did not that such thing exists... So once a wedding is over you take out for a more "risky" session?

Yeah a trash the dress session has been more of fashion trend that picked up steam a couple of years ago. It's not common for someone to have one, but they do happen every once in a while. The idea is to take a bride out in there wedding dress in unique locations..some like to get their dress dirty or do things they wouldn't normally do in a wedding dress :D

Fun shots. Personally I would delete the last one, it's not flattering.

One unlucky bride attempted a trash-the-dress shoot in a river and drowned when the dress got wet and suddenly weighed about 50 lbs.

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

Thanks! I actually really like the last image because of it's storytelling, but I understand how the way the light falls on her face can make the image unflattering to some. But personally, I just like it.

I've totally heard of horror stories with trash the dress sessions! I've heard of one where the bride got sucked into a rip current and fell off a waterfall. I'll keep these sessions on land for sure!
