Hi,

My site is www.hangloosesurfclub.smugmug.com....the desktop version is showing in mobile/tablet view. I've done a smugmug site before the new updates and it showed automatically. Can anyone help me with this so the mobile/tablet version show properly.:thumb

Thanks so much,
Shauna

Works fine on my Nexus 6. But your site is not mobile-friendly, you should really upgrade to new SmugMug thumb.gif

Looks like his site uses the New SmugMug.

Hi Goldenpepper, you've done a few things which prevent it from working on the mobile display. First, you've set your display to a fixed size of 900 pixels. This makes it so that it doesn't size down as the window is sized down, including on mobile devices. Have you tried using the stretchy style in your customize settings? Secondly, you're using special HTML blocks to make your smugmug site look like your main website. Unfortunately it doesn't have the HTML/CSS code to make it responsive to browsers changing size. If you took advantage of the menu content block on SmugMug you could make the site more mobile friendly!

    Hi Andy,

Thanks for your response. I am so confused with the new smugmug content blocks for the entire site, galleries and homepage on how to correctly style iteek7.gif I couldn't figure out how to make the gallery content block to be the same width as the header and footer so thats why I did that. I couldn't figure out the div id or class for that content block to style it in css.

Even though I did customize the smugmug gallery to look like the rest of the website on desktop view I don't necessarily want it for the mobile/tablet view. I've looked at another customized smugmug gallery that I did before the smugmug updates. And the mobile version showed automatically. That site was www.strikeaposemaui.com. So I just wanted the mobile/tablet version to look like that when viewing from those devices. Any more suggestions would be appreciated:)

Ack - sorry! I guess it was the 900px fixed size. Sorry for my incorrect info.

There isn't a mobile view in new smugmug.

The first thing you need to do is not set your site to a fixed width as leftquark mentioned in his post above.

You can set the menu to collapse in mobile view by using the last setting on the basic tab of the menu content block. You can also use CSS to set specific behavior for smaller screens as shown on this page - http://www.aaronmphotography.com/Customizations/Sitewide/Screen-Width-Customizations. But - since you have chosen a mixed implementation for your site (part smug, part not) you would also need to apply similar customizations to your non-smug site.
