Ok I shoot in Raw then when I have everything just right in PhotoShops Raw editor
    I choose "open in PhotoShop"
I would like to have the Scripts Manager set up to send a "comtrol+J" so it would dup the photo or layer automatically

Right now I have it set so everytime I open a .jpg it does this for me

    Does that make sens ?
Sometimes its hard to put to words..sorry :D

    Thanks for the help

    Fred,

Have you looked here? I found the tutorials to be pretty helpful. I'd try to write a script up for you, but I don't have access to a machine with Photoshop on it right now.

Pick up the latest photoshop magazine. They've got a whole article on the script events manager. thumb.gif

I read this article in the latest issue PS User:-).
What you want to do is fairly simple.
    Create an action.
    Enable scripts in event manager.
Specify that action on Open Document event.
    Click Add.
    Click Done.
    That's it.
I just tested it, it works with CR2 files as well as with everything else.
    HTH

    Thanks Everyone for the help

    Nik
I have tried the very same thing you described and it don't work for me
It does work when I open a .jpg file but not a .CR2 file
This should be very easy...I must be missing something ne_nau.gif

My action that I created is nothing more then the keystrokes (control+J)

Also I did read the article in psuser mag

    Thanks
