A talented floral arranger just opened a shop near me

That's a beautiful Orchid arrangement, Rags. The great diversity of lighting was not your friend here. I'd like to see more detail in the base of the plant, however, including the overhead lighting in the scene really restricted your options....perhaps a different perspective would have helped.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Yep, that overhead light kills it for me. If you don't feel like a reshoot, you could crop and tweak the hell out of it. I do like the anthropomorphic form of the wood and the way it all combines with the landscape shot.

+1 - available light was not my friend.

Besides issues with comp, it also screwed up the DR

I had other shots with more base detail but it took away from the flowers (judgement call)

    Thanks for the comments

Yup - it had it's effects on this end shot

You're rework was better; why don't you post it?

The lights had less effect on the front view
