The oldest daughter ask me for a portrait session to present to parents as a Christmas gift. We shot around the town library and local community college as well as by the bay. It was a dreary day so the backgrounds didn't lend much color. Would have preferred another day but holiday schedules prevented that. These were shot with a fuji x100s and x-t1/56 1.2 with a AB400 for off camera light.

I like the poses in these but the background in #1 is a bit busy and all the vehicles take my eye away from the subjects. Number 4 and 6 are my favorites though. I like the lighting and the lamp in #6. Nice job!

Great job John, love 2,3,5,9 due to the expression in 2. The depth feeling in 3,5 and de light in 9

Thanks! I agree on the background but some clients like to see the backgrounds so I give them the option. This was one they picked as a favorite.

Thanks all, I think 5 is my favorite as well. Maybe should have backed up more but I was concentrating more on trying to get the lines to frame the subjects.
