Such a simple appearing shot belies the care and attention that went into taking it, particularly the excellent composition. I could really enjoy being perched on that porch, sipping a White Russian.
Merry Christmas, my friend,
Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

I agree with Tom. I think that adding a little vibrance would help though.

Nice location and photo. I wonder what that would look like in IR?
Thanks David... I haven't tried IR yet, other than the LR preset - which is woefully inadequate compared to the real stuff like Panther's fine work. Though, wth all the foliage, I imagine this location would look great in IR.
The location is The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, a favorite place for Hollywood - new and old - to film outdoors.... everything from Johnny Weissmuller as Tarzan, to Katy Perry's music video, Roar.
I wiki'd the place right after you posted this and it said that Tattoo rings the bell in the opening scenes of the show from that tower. I am old enough to remember that, unfortunately. I can certainly see the attraction to the property for productions.

Yesterday, just by coincidence, I was viewing the channel guide on the tube, and I saw a listing for Fantasy Island starting right then on some obscure
channel - Rural - that I never watch... I selected it and wah-la, there's Tattoo doing his thing, I had to laugh!
