I will create a gallery or an event for a client. I will go in and customize the gallery and add a password.

SAVE

When I go back to tweak something else, it looks my MASTER PASSWORD is back in there again. If I simply open that CUSTOMIZE the site without looking at the PW it will default to the MASTER password locking out the client, their family and everyone else I am trying to make money from...

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG HERE?

thanks in advance

Could it be inheriting the password from up the tree?

By "master password" do you mean up the tree folders or top level folder?
You should be able to apply a different password anywhere under an upper level with a password.

That log in PW should not be present in any gallery unless you added it there. Is your browser adding
it from browser remembered PW's? Might look at what PW's for Smug sites are being remember by the
browser. Your browser might think the same one is used for every PW page.

If you refer to the password field in the customize gallery / folder / page > security&privacy section, that never reflects whatever password you set as the way passwords are kept, the system doesn't know what specific password you set or how many characters it has. The asterisk displayed in the password field solely tell you that you have a password set up for that folder, gallery or page and the system always displays the same number of asterisk regardless of how long the password set actually is.

In case you can't recall the password you set and don't have it written down anywhere, you could only set up a new password. There's no way to reveal any details on the password used.
