Taking Flight Shots...

Funny that I have not seen a Kestrel all year long and was trying to get a shot of a Snowy Owl at the time and was not able to get a shot of the Snowy as it was just too far out, looked up and seen the Kestrel which took off just as I was getting ready. Followed it for a bit and got the shots of it that I wanted and left it alone. Here are a couple of action shots of it taking off from a tree.

Thanks Hunter and yes it is a banded one, that is the first time seeing a band on these birds.

I've seen lots of these but never a banded one. If you ever get close enough and get zoom in to read some of the band you might be able to find out where and when it was banded.

Thanks for the comment, and it sure is a unique pose and makes it better with the wings in the upward position.
