CSS Help with Smugmug Gallery Style

On this Gallery:

There is a big gap between the picture and the stuff below. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Also, for some reason the photo pagination thing below the image isn't centred and the CSS I have found that is meant to do this doesn't appear to work. Is there something I'm missing?

Edit: Only seems to happen on the wider images (those that don't take up the full height vertically). Is it possible to get that space to automatically close on images that aren't quite so tall?
