For me for #1, light and colors are very nice......but tree is bit too prominent, competing with coast for being the main subject rather than just foreground element.....not sure what the intention was, but either stepping back or stepping closer would help bring most attention to one or the other.
For second, comp if nice, but light is harsh and that makes it tough to shoot inside a canopy.

Hi, thanks for the comments. Yes, I get what you are saying. I have a version which I took a bit further away. I'll go revisit that. The reason I had picked this one was I felt the shape and color of the foreground drift wood sort of mirrored the rocks in the sea. I did not get that in the other versions.
