I'm not aware of a customization in new smugmug to make the photo larger in smugmug style. That was done in legacy with javascript, and javascript is not supported in new smugmug.

    Allen,
I do not believe that website referenced is the old smugmug but rather the new site. IT has the Social icons, menus, 2014 copyright etc.

That site is definitely old smug. New smug does not have the same share, slideshow, buy, and view cart buttons. The site footer looks different as well.

If I do a view source it is obviously legacy smug.

Here's a screen shot I posted many moons ago, 10/23/13, complaining about the NewSmug photo/thumb sizes compared
to Legacy. The R/L page arrows take a lot of horizontal space. The thumbs and main photo are smaller. NewSmug
    superimposed over Legacy.

Another shot, 10/24/13. Both shots with same size browser windows.

You can see how they really did a great job of optimizing the photo sizes for Legacy and completely destroyed it
in NewSmug. The main fault are those ridiculous R/L page arrows taking up so much page width. Why they also
made the thumbs 10% smaller I have no idea.

Also notice below the thumbs the 90's style page nav. Are you kidding?

If I understand the question correctly you want your New SmugMug site to look more like the Old SmugMug site? I notice you've chosen a design that has a left-sidebar, which is going to take up screen width and make the photo itself smaller. Have you thought about using a design that uses a header/navbar on the top so that the photos and thumbnails can fit the width of the screen? Additionally, in your "Entire Site", you've set your body manually to a width fixed ~1100px wide. For large screens, this will squish the photos into those 1100 pixels instead of letting them fit the width of the screen. For mobile, this will force the page to be wider than mobile screens and make the site fall apart. Your best bet is to set the "Entire Site" to be "stretchy" and let it fit the entire width of the screen. This should restore your galleries to have thumbnails on the left and a giant photo on the right.

Those R and L page chevrons need to go so the photos can be maximized in the width. That's why
Legacy Smugmug style was so much better with the larger thumbs and main photo.

There's got'a be way to redesign the page nav.

BTW, there is still no way in lightbox to tell what photo you're on.
