Gallery lighbox/add photo overlay

I go to gallery
log in
gallery returns
click large photo to open in lightbox
but instead it opens "add photos" overlay

Today I clicked next to "customize", actually missed it slightly and the upload photos overlay popped up.
Yesterday clicking on page between thumbs and main photo it popped it up.
All using Firefox.
All random occurrences.

Firefox on a Windows machine? Desktop machine running which version of Firefox? Did you have any photos open in another program/window or in the Explorer? It seems like our drag/drop right into the gallery might be triggering.

Hi Aaron and Allen,

I can repeat the behavior 100% of the time. It's not clicking, it's dragging. In a SmugMug style gallery, hold the mouse button down over a thumbnail or a larger picture and drag it out of position, then release the mouse button. Up pops the Upload display. In Collage Landscape dragging an image out of position does the same thing. Happens in both Firefox and Chrome. Not sure this is really a bug, but it's not exactly expected.

Now that is some really helpful information.

Allen, is it possible that something like that happened? You happened to maybe drag a thumbnail or photo around? That would certainly explain why the uploader pops up -- it thinks an image is being dropped into the window.

Let me talk to Engineering and get back to you.

If you had to have 1 or the other:
1) the ability to drag images right into the gallery window to upload them without going to "Upload -> This Gallery", or
2) Not have to worry about accidentally dragging a thumbnail/image and have the upload window pop up

Which would you prefer? My vote would be for #1 but I'm not a dictator so I'm all ears (eyes) open!

It happens randomly so I don't mind how it is now, just close popup. But do not really need (1).
Tried a bunch of times and can't repeat manually.
FF - It repeats every time dragging existing thumb on page.

Going from gallery to gallery editing gallery descriptions.
Next gallery clicked "customize" and upload popup appeared.
Have not been dragging anything. FF Win7

It's happening any time you drag anything, even the slightest. I confirmed that if I clicked on Customize -> Gallery Settings, and slightly dragged the pop-up tab, it would open the uploader. Is it possible that your "clicks" have a slight drag to them too? I ask so that we can dig down into the root of the problem -- I'd like to understand if it's happening truely on "clicks" or if it's only happening on drag's. Regardless, it shouldn't be doing this.

With my old hands and sensitive mouse it might have a slight drag. Notice sometimes I accidentally
get a double left mouse click.

Just dragged mouse with left button down a bunch of times and after about 12 drags got popup.
All over page but finally happened when on banner.

We've got a fix that's going through test that will fix this issue. I'll let you know when it's resolved.

We went live with a fix today*. Give it a whirl and let me know if you still find the upload window pops up.

* Fixed for all browsers except IE. It's being finicky and we didn't want to hold up the fix for the other browsers.
