I'm helping someone out with their page and am getting myself confused. The end result for the website is an unlisted page/gallery that has unlisted folders that contains unlisted galleries.

I know that I can share a link of unlisted galleries.

I know that I can make a page and have a container of unlisted photos (like a grid, etc).

How do I do this?

Is this a page with unlisted folders? Or an unlisted gallery of unlisted folders? Help!

That page on Aaron's site is a page of listed folders and pages / galleries. You can tell if something is unlisted by the URL. If the gallery / page / folder is unlisted the url will have some tacked-on characters. He didn't choose to expose this from his menu but it pops up if you access the /browse page on his site.

If you give someone a link to an unlisted folder and they are not logged on to your site the folder will appear to be empty.

If you want to make a set of unlisted galleries available to someone you might consider using a share group.

Thanks Denise! I think the shared group is the way to go for me.

Also, how does one make a page of listed folder/galleries. I can't seem to figure it out. I make a page, added a folder , gallery, page navigation blocks and get stuck. I can add a single photo or multiple photos after that, but can't seem to show a folder, gallery or a page.

Add a navigation block that contains the type of elements you want to show. Then choose the content.

For example, if you look at the Kaleidoscope page on my site, that contains a Folders, Galleries, and Pages block. I set the Select From to "Items I choose". Then I clicked on Items and selected the content elements I wanted to show. Right now that block shows 3 galleries. I am using a folders, galleries, and pages block because sometimes I change the selection to include folders too.

Sigh. I must be blind! Thanks again. One last question.

Is there anyway to leave a folder in a unexpanded state? The layout options are grid, vertical, collage landscape, collage portrait. Is there anyway I can leave it as a folder instead of displaying each gallery inside the folder?

For a folder, it displays all the galleries in the folders.

At the top level it will show folders. For example, look at the gallery page on my site. Each entry on that page represents a folder. Click on a folder and it opens - either to galleries or to folders.

Or maybe I don't understand when you ask if "there anyway I can leave it as a folder instead of displaying each gallery inside the folder?". Can you describe what you are looking for?

Nope. It was just me. I had a bunch of test blocks and things were getting messy. Thanks again for all of your help!
