Suzie at the Fort

It was a dreary grey day so I experimented with making warm sunset look at the beach. My bread and butter is summer family vacations and weather doesn't cooperate so I want to be able to add a little to the family sessions if the light isn't there. This was a definite experiment in light. Not sure about some of the results.

    I think the warming gell works if you can not see the sky is as grey and cloudy as it is. If you can see that much of the sky it clashes. The one with no sky are great. I have done the same thing and use a1/4 to a half cut and have yo make sure the ground is the same temp atrue as the subject, especially in front of them.

    I'm coming to that conclusion too. I think if the ground is visible there is too much disconnect.

    Hi thanks for sharing. My eyes for 1 and 2 see that your light is fake and does not match with the background light.

    I'm not concerned with it matching, just pleasing. If it were done in the studio it would be "fake."

    Very Good Work.
    Very nice work. I think the lighting was on point. It did seem a bit hard, maybe if you could have softened it a little would have given it a more natural look. Just my thoughts.

    Thanks! I tried but it was too windy, the umbrella kept getting blown over, and it was actually worse in the tunnel since it acted like a funnel for the wind.
