Im thinking of getting myself a new lens for my Canon 350D. I already have three lenses. These: Tamron Tamron 28-75 F2.8 XR AF, Sigma 70-300mm f4 APO and the kit lens for the 350D.

Ive been thinking of getting a Canon 70-200mm f/4 L lens. Its sucks that its only to 200mm. I want the last 100mm so i can get rid of my plastic sigma 70-300 mm lens.... Any idears what I should get?

i also dont have any wideangel lens. Any idear of good lens thats is in the same price range as the 70-200mm L lens?

I haven't used it but alot of people are giving the new 70-300 IS good reviews and it's about the same price as the 70-200 f4. You don't get the F4 all the way through the zoom range but you do pick up IS

That being said I love the feel and quality of my 70-200F4

200 is sometimes more than you think. if reach is a problem. you could just save 200 more than the 70-200 and get a Sigma 50-500. lol. if you're willing to sacrifice weight for reach. but its tripod ring is quite sturdy so you can handhold it *for short periods of time*

all-in-all. it depends what you'll be photographing. if its birds you're after. go for the sigma. if its just a standard zoom. go for the Canon

Is the Sigma f4 not a good lens? Other than it being "plastic" -- how are the photos?

Given your current set I'd think about getting more quality on the wide end than the kit lens -- with something like the Tamron 17-35 f2.8/4

You also could use some fast glass. Good options would be the Canon 85mm f1.8 -- which is very nice for portraits and indoor sports. Or the Sigma 30mm f1.4 -- which is my new favorite lens.

I didn't see you list the 50mm f1.8 which is a "must have" lens for $75.

yes... the 50mm f1.8 seems fine. And cheap. And the pbase pictures seems fine. But low quility. Anyone who have any pics taken with that lens that I can take a look at?

The wonderful and fantastic sigma 100-300 f4. Super sharp wide open, super fast AF, and the extra 100mm over the 70-200f4. I honestly dont know why anyone would buy the canon over the sigma, unless the 170 dollars is worth it to you.
