Quiet Day at the Arsenal
Went out to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal NWR today hoping to see some bald eagles, kestrels, etc. Unfortunately I think we missed all the excitement by a day. Here's a few from today.
1. GBH preening in the reeds
2. GBH. At first I didn't like that a blade of grass blew right into my shot, but it has since grown on me.
3. American Coots. These have seemed to be a favorite among the Bald Eagles for lunch lately.
4. Coots on the edge of ice.
5. Northern Shoveler
6. White tail deer. These deer were spooked by a couple people riding a vespa around the Reserve.

Love the Shoveler shot....but too bad too perfect of a reflection is making it look overweight!:D
The light and pose on the last one is fantastic!!
Don't have just tad more space available at the bottom on last one?
Great anyway! Cheers!
Thanks! Unfortunately the last one is not cropped at all. I was shooting my 300 f/4 from the car and there was no way to pull back at the angle I was at.
