All of your models are very attractive, but this one is lovely! It's hard to say what's wrong with a photo when the model is so beautiful.......
now listen to me on this one, ive been around for awhile. i believe that you can see into a person as to what they are really like and from your photos of alessandra i can say with out reservation that she must be the "sweetest" of all the girls you have model for you.
Everything is fine for me except the background. I would like to see a 'mosaic' type maybe (hey i dont shoot this stuff) like a rock wall. I like to see an edge around the model. If anyone can understand that.

troy, thank you so much! alessandra is a very sweet girl, as are all of the girls i shoot. that's actually part of what i look for and try to capture.
it's funny you should say that she is the "sweetest" and i hate to disagree with you, but i actually think all of my other models are sweeter than her. don't get me wrong, she is very sweet, but she looks even more so in pictures. alessandra is probably the most "skilled" model i work with because her mother is a professional photographer. i think she's the best at looking sweet.
imo, the sweetest girls that i've worked with are ali and casey, both girls from my college, and kaity who i will be shooting with again very soon.
thanks again for the comment!
troy, you can come shoot with me some time. i really want to see how another photographer sees what i see.

My wife says "Over my dead body" will she let me go.... :cry
Why do you think I'm stuck shooting birds??
I agree with the previous that the girl is beautiful, the poses and lighting work for me (very nice), however the background doesn't work for me. Any chance shooting her in the studio?

i appreciate the comment, thank you. i really like the background, but i think the problem might be that i was shooting sans polarizer, so the water doesn't look that great. i'll be posting some more pictures from the set with hopefully better backgrounds.
i don't have a studio (yet), but i like shooting my models outside. i love the natural light and i feel like the models are more comfortable outside than the would be in a studio. i also like the way the models react to the setting. for example, in this shoot, alessandra had to deal with the frigid temperature (as did i) and i think that helps the chemistry of the shoot.
I like the first and third. The second one has that diagonal line that splits the frame in a very distracting way. The other ones have nice perspective, exposure, and expression.

I think the model is lovely and the background is nice -- I like seaside pictures -- but her outfit doesn't seem flattering at all. A darker, plain cable sweater with other layers tucked in would make the full focus of the picture on her beautiful face -- a face that you captured with excellent light.
if i want to post more pictures of her, should i post them in this thread or create a new one? i feel like not many people would see them if they were in this thread, but i don't want to be flooding and hogging the forum with threads about one model. i just don't want to be a nuissance.

If I had one critique it would be that she looks way too yellow.

i just wish this was my real job.

wow, i didn't even notice that until you mentioned it, and that is definitely distracting. thanks for the tip!
Cheers,
