Recently, I was looking for some winter subject and lifted a rubber mat, on the ground, outside my greenhouse. There is a bonus springtail in the bottom right corner.

I have seen these aggregations before. This time I was ready to shoot. They are not "baby" millipedes, which have as few as three pairs of legs.
This is probably the Spotted Snake Millipede Blaniulus guttulatus a garden pest species.
