Disapearance of "moded" kit lenses for sale
Whatever happened to all the "moded" Canon kit lenses that I used to see for sale? Back before I picked up a used D60 I kept seeing these for sale both here and on FM.
Just as I suspected, so far, there is just one thing (a display case at my church that I can't zoom with my feet to take pictures of) that I really need the wider lens for. These modified kit lenses seemed just the thing for a very constrained budget when you don't have very frequent use for the wide end of that range.
