Keywords - limited to current location

I noticed some new behavior and I'm just curious if this is really something new or if I missed this change a long time ago. When you have a keyword content block with the scope set to "current location," it only shows the keywords associated with photos in that gallery or folder. That's not new. What's new is when you click on one, it takes you to a keyword gallery that's also limited in scope to that gallery or folder.

For example if I have a keyword content block on my "2015" folder and someone clicks the keyword "bird" it will bring up a keyword gallery of "bird" photos from 2015. In the past clicking on bird would bring up all bird photos on my site.

I think I like it, but it's not obvious that the scope of the keyword results is being limited like in gallery or folder search results. It would be more obvious what's going on if the keyword gallery had an indication of what folder/gallery it's drawing the results from. Clicking on the same keyword in a keywords content block and under a photo in a gallery will provide different results, which is pretty confusing.

So is this new or have I not been paying attention?
