With construction booming in the Seattle area, and a serious backlog of work, I haven't had much time to get out and shoot anything new.

I check in occasionally to see the great work of others and thought I would post some images from my home state from the archive files.

From the coast,

Ruby Beach

5 miles north of La Push On a 20 mile hike I twisted my knee and wound up camping in this small cove for 3 days while I healed up enough to hike back out to the van. Not another soul, not a bad way to spend 3 days considering.

All beautiful shots. I'll be out that way twice this spring and hope to visit some of those areas. Thanks for posting the inspiring set.

Nice series, Phil. I have been wanting/needing to come up to the Palouse for a couple of years now....maybe someday I'll get there!

Thanks for the comment David. I hope you get good weather and light during your visits. The tulip fields north of Seattle are coming on early this year, so if you're in the area at the end of march or early April you should catch them at the peak.

Thanks. The spring is typically busier with loads of photo workshops and tours.

Thanks for the comment. Hope you make it to the Palouse sometime. Spring, or fall during harvest, both offer some great opportunities.

Terrific photos!! I especially like the driftwood framing the sea stacks. I guess you had a few days to figure out that comp. :) Great story.

Great set. I really like the city skyline, the Rainier shot, and the Palouse. I'd love to be able to shoot that some day.

Despite the knee injury, spending 3 days on a remote beach was very relaxing.

Good stuff! The Palouse shot really stands out for me. I need to make a trip up there to shoot that location.
