Harddisk circuits turning black

I noticed circuits circled in picture have turned dark colored on my WD green hard disk. however similar hardrive which i bought in 2009 is just fine. they share same computer and enclosure.

Awais, since it is GREEN it would be ROHS compliant and using a different (environmentally friendly) solder, this may be the cause of the discoloration.

Interesting! Could you post a shot? I'd agree that it is probably due to a different type of solder though! Also I'm curious as to how you noticed that!

What is the general level of humidity the drive is stored and used in, Awais?
