Took a short trip to Dubai. It's an amazing city but can be tough photograph. Here's a few from there:

1) Looking down from the spa level of the the Burj Al Arab

2) One of the few mosques open to the public with tours run by the Cultural Understanding Center

3) Not all of Dubai is glamorous

4) Taking a boat ride on Dubai Creek

Really nice series and Dubai and Abu Dhabi are very interesting. I love the "vertigo" (#1) and the Grand Mosque shots.

First and last are awesome abstracts, even though they appear to be real buildings!
    Cheers!

I keep getting asked if Dubai is worth visiting. I wouldn't make a special trip there if coming from the States or anywhere far but if you find yourself transiting through there, common now as it's the busiest airport in the world, I'd definitely take a few days to see it. It's completely unique.

I work frequently in Dubai and you have nicely captured a breadth of the city, which is impossible to see and understand in only one trip.

Thanks for posting these, very nice images. thumb.gif

The Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi should be on one's bucket list even if your are not a photographer. A beautiful experience... heart, mind, soul.

I'll be back in May, with my camera. There is so much to photograph in Dubai itself as well if one ventures further away from the shops, malls, concrete and glass.

    Nice work!!
