This was a smallish one, so I actually put my 21mm extension tube and still cropped it a little bit to get rid of what you can see in the second shot taken at 2:1 magnification...

I used the diffused ringflash ( Version 1 Beta... )

That's close!!
What is this diffused ring-flash that you speak of?
I have given up trying to create that 'L' bracket and head combo to get close the subject. Can't find it here.
Only reason I didn't want ring flash is that I couldn't build a diffuser for it.
If diffuse ring flash exists with E-TTL, then that would be ideal for me!

Just foam stuff stuck over where the flashes tubes are (2) and black tape (1).




My flash is not TTL though.
