I tried shooting some during my recent Moth Fly session but they seem to remain still for one second less than it takes to frame and focus.

I found that at least some Tomocerus, in the viewfinder, are pale pink with a few black scales. Flash-lit images show them as entirely dark. So you need to use ambient exposures!

think that would be hard at 1.5 inch focal distance of mpe
