Hello all,

I am in the market for a new printer right now and I have absolutely no idea what to go for. I print a high volume of 4x6's weekly (~50), a medium volume of 5x7's weekly (~15) and a low-ish volume of 8x10's and 11x14's weekly (~7 each).

One of my biggest requirements is that the prints be very sharp and decent color (I am used to Nations Photo Lab superb quality). Looking to spend <$400.

The two that have interested me most are the Canon Pixma P-100 and Epson Artisan 1430.

I got a Pixma Pro-100 last summer. I don't use it nearly as much as you are looking at, but the quality of the prints is excellent. If you go that way, keep an eye out for rebates - when I bought mine, Canon had a deal where you bought the Pro-100 and a package of photo paper - the price at B&H was $400 for the combination - and they sent you a $300 gift card, so the price was effectively $100.
