Just a very simple page to start with

Dear all,
I would like to build just a single page web site for my future customers.
I am thinking something that would have my contact details
and a sellection of the work I did. For example just 10 shots I got in the past.

That would allow me two thinks
1. To keep that simple interface for long time (especially now that I am really busy with my first job)
2. Change the images I have on first page as I get more clients and I like more the results.

Can someone support me on how I can do that with my smugmug?

I would like to thank you in advance for your reply

Regards
Alex

    Hi Alex,

Sure, we'd be happy to help you with getting that page set up. You can add contact information several different ways, but one of the simplest may be to use our built in contact form. If you go that route, you can simply customize the navigation bar to link directly to that contact form.

This will explain how to do that in a little more detail:
    http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/1248294-how-do-i-create-a-contact-page-?b_id=1644

We have quite a few great design templates to get you started on your homepage design. A good way to check those out is to go to your site and click customize>choose a new site design.

If you choose a design like 'Willow' or 'Nyx' for example, those would start you out with a layout that would allow you to place multiple photos on your homepage to showcase your work.

If you have more questions about that, please let us know either here, or you can contact support directly at help@smugmug.com :)
    Thanks,

I can not find in the available themes the Willow or the Nyx.... under the themes category. Can that be a problem with my subscription?

You have to have the theme selected in order to see that theme as a choice. Click customize>choose a new site design. Select Nyx and you can choose that as a theme.

I find the theme selection confusing since themes are referenced in two places, the the functionality in each is different.

To select one of the themes you mentioned, click Customize -> Choose a New Site Design.
    Choose the desired theme.

Once you have chosen the theme and want to adjust it to your look, Customize -> Content and Design > Entire site > theme

I assume based on your reply above that you are seeing Site-Wide Theme and not Choose a New Site Design. What happens if you click Customize > Site-Wide Theme?

Customize->Side-Wide Them bring no Ninx option or the other templates I was suggested to use
The Available themes are categorized in different topics as:
    -Smugmug
    -Textures
    -Patterns
    ...
and so on but nowhere there I can find the suggested templates

Alex, it sounds like you have a Basic account, which has limited customization options. Please add a link to your site in your signature, so the helpers here can provide better answers to your questions. Click the clipboard icon in the upper right > edit signature, thanks!

    2. Can I still add a second web page through a short menu
    3. Can I have a contact form

Alex, please send us an email to help(at)smugmug.com and we'll be happy to help. :)

If you do have a Basic account, have a look at this help page that explains what customization is available:
    http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/1232084

The menu content block and the ability to add a contact form, for example, are not available.
