Photar 50mm and Moth Flies Like Each Other

I have recently been using a Schneider Repro-Claron 55mm a bit outside its comfort zone, with some encouraging results.
Either motion blur or the specifications of the lens were leaving the results a little short of expectations. An alternative was to use my Leitz Wetzlar Photar 50mm f2.8 for which my notes say "optimised for 2.5x ... 10x (x3-x8, optimum x2.9)". I won't go into the exact implications the, by any interpretation, this looked like a job for this. (The numbered apertures go down to f11, with two further marks).
The setup was the same, except that I used M42 tube instead of m4/3. The extension was about 220mm from the sensor. The FOV was 5mm at the working distance of 50mm.
EM-1, Photar 50mm at f11 ISO 800, flash, hand-held.
I find the results at f11 better that the Schneider at f11 or f16, both in DOF and clarity.
The third image is of the larger, brownish species. Images cropped by up to 50%.

Thanks, Brian.
I think the lens is doing a little better than the results show. I think I am not maintaining focus as accurately as I might. More practice!
I have looked around at what images are available and it seems that I may be the only one insane enough to be going in so close on these.
