Wife and Josh just took Cali to have her put to sleep!:cry

She was 12yrs old.....Her and Josh grew up together.
Josh is 13. She has been dwindling away the past week or so...VERY sad!

Least I got a few good shots of Her to remember.:(:

Sad, hard to lose a family member, pets included.

    Warm wishes for your family.

Nice pictures to have as memories . . .

    So sad
Very sorry to hear about Cali. Never easy losing a cherished family member.

We've gone through this fairly recently too. Ours was 13, her sister (still alive) is now almost 15 and we're counting the days, though hoping she lives forever. Never an easy decision - even when its the right decision. Good thing you've got some pictures of her.

Awww... that sucks. We have two cats, one 13, the other 12. I never was a cat person, until I got the first 12 years ago as a present to my girlfriend (now wife) who was a cat person all her life. They totally turned me over, and now I know how attached one can get to cats. I'm sorry to hear about your loss, and will keep you and your familiy in my thoughts.
enjoy being here while getting there

    Cool cat!

Animals, in general, they just don't live long enough. I start grieving them almost the minute I fall in love with one. I am in that position now.

    Sorry about your loss.

    Tell, Josh, sorry..........

What a lovely kitty Cali was, however "evil" she may have been. Her character shows right through in your photos. (I love the second picture particularly - great eyes!) She was a lucky cat to have owned a family that treasured her. It is so hard to lose a loved one, whether two-legged or four-legged. Deciding that it is time is particularly difficult. But you know you did the right thing for Cali. My condolences to you and your family.

Sorry to hear this Graphy. I have a 17 year old cat and it's the 1st thing I do in the morning is reach over and see if she's still with me.

Always remember, she's still with your family in your memories and your pictures.

My heart goes out to you and your family. As a cat person all my life, I can understand what you are going through. Like Stormdancing, I also have some old cats, 17 and 19, that have been part of my family almost my whole married life and I almost can't imagine what that life will be without them. They helped lighten up my stress-filled grad school years with their antics as kittens; they sat with me as I nursed my babies; they warmed our ankles in bed at night and made sure we woke up in the AM w/ the alarm (have you ever heard a siamese "talk" - believe me, it's a great wake up!). I almost lost my siamese last year about this time, but he took a turn for the better and, almost unbelievably, has had a good year - well, as much of a good year as a 17 yr old deaf cat who is probably losing his sight as well, can have.

Remember the nuzzles, the cat scrambling in bags (I had to laugh at your photo - I just took one like that the other day of a 9 mo old kitten), the purrs in your ear and you will remember a good friend.

    Thanx a bunch everyone!
Nice to know that others know the Joy of having a Cat.
I still personally like dogs better cuz they have more personality.
But cats grow on ya after awhile and have their own typa personality.

Thanx ALL for your well wishes and kind thoughts.
