A wasp Queen and a photo-bombing fly

Spotted my first wasp queen of the season the other day but was a bit hampered by a cluster fly that wanted to get into the shots. I eventually encouraged the wasp onto my finger to get rid of the fly

Great set as usual - but I like the first one the best. It really shows off the body style of the wasp (the itty-bitty "waist") and the size difference between the fly and wasp. Clarity is great.

Great series, think they are the only thing i wont put my hand near! even though not been stung by one in 30 years lol

An itty bitty waist and a round thing in your face?
Also I feel like if you have to encourage a wasp on to your finger to get the photo then personally I want no part of it! [emoji6] Great shots!
