White-legged Snake Millipede Tachypodoiulus niger.
This was coiled up underneath the lid of my compost bin, such that it would be suspended underneath it when the lid was in place. I at first thought the threads indicated an inactive individual. Then it walked away.
I have not found reference to millipedes spinning a web support, although they (and centipedes) do have silk glands. I think ths must be what had happened (strands visible in the image).
My FOV was set for moth flies, at about 5mm, making this a tight fit in the frame.
EM-1, extension, Leitz Photoar 50mm f11 TTL flash, hand-held.
