    Interesting selection. I don't recall any potential subjects on my cars, red, followed by black.

    Don't think it's to do with the colour - happened on my previous car too which was silver grey (unless they particularly like metallic paint). Think it's position- the car is shaded at this time of year by the next door house and is normally downwind of some large trees on the road. Insects seem to land on the car and then not be able to take off because they loose heat.
