Folks,

I know this has been asked a zillion times but here is what I want to accomplish.

I have a custom domain that points to my smugmug page. I am using GoDaddy for the domain registrar. What I want to do is also have a wordPress site (on GoDaddy) and then have a link from my page go to that blog and vise-versa.

So www.robsirotaphotography.com points to main sugmug account. I would like a link on the page (which would point to a wordpress blog) but when it opens that page it would show (www.robsirotaphotography.com/blog) not the actual URL of the blog.

Can this be done?

You need to create a sub-domain (blog.robsirotaphotography.com) for either your WordPress blog or your SmugMug site. That's what I do. My SmugMug site is a sud-domain and my domain is my WordPress site.

You can do what ever you'd like. In my case, my main site is a WP site (www.imagesinthebackcountry.com) and my SM site is gallery.imagesinthebackcounty.com.

But if the DNS points my domain to SM then doing a subdomain will do the same...

No, a subdomain is treated as a new domain.
