im now convinced it is a Coopers Hawk . well it was certainly a terrifying but exciting day around here in my backyard. If my wife finds out I "Let" a hawk come into our backyard - IM DEAD! There was really no time to plan for this picture and Im lucky to get what I got, but there was one image I took today that I worked on for awhile ( I better stop before I ruin it ) that I wanted to share.........
but remember: (1) i was scared out of my mind, (2) through a dirty window, (3) Iso 1600, shutter speed 1/200, 400 mm, (4) the whole incident lasted a few seconds and (5) I WAS SCARED OUT OF MIND (AGAIN).. this might be one of my best "unplanned shots":

    Troy,

I'm a new campaign for people to get more out of their images.

By setting a black point and applying these curves:

I got this. What do you think?

    I love that pop!

David what if there is no black, don't want no black, etc. I did a "boring", well, I liked it, but it was blurred and we know that is bad, marsh shot that is basically yellow with some red and stuff, a bit of green maybe. Maybe I should check one of them for a black area, but ........

anyway, I like the pop here.

Windoze. I love the hawk, but I don't know what you were scared of. And how could you NOT let a hawk into the backyard. You could chase it out,rolleyes1.gif , once it got in, but "in" is up to the hawk???headscratch.gif

Anyway, I thought there were all of those twigs and branches: how did you get the bird out of them???

I am more interested in getting a hawk than I am in losing one.

I really want a hawk! A raptor of any kind at this point, except turkey vulture.

After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.
