Lightroom lrcat backups...

...just recently went thru my C drive to clean-up and gain some space. Got to the LR folder and checked out the lrcat backups...there are quite a few as you might imagine and I was relatively surprised at the size of these things; 5 gigs per is about average. Is there an advantage to keeping them all? I would like to get rid of the majority, maybe keeping the last 2 or three?
