Adding Chat Ability

I see that SM has added the ability to chat with a Hero. Is there any way I can get it so my customers can chat with me? The infrastructure is there. Why can't we tap into it?

I would doubt that SmugMug is using the SmugMug product to support their help desk. Usually a formal support and chat system is used.

If you want to add chat to your site you would need to add a content block that supports chat - and I believe you will need to add a feature request for that.

Oh I'm sure it's a third party. I'm just saying the structure is there and therefore we should be able to add such an approved service. Since we can't do JavaScript or anything else.

I could add it to the feature request site... but I don't have that much time to wait. Ah well

Bear in mind if you had a chat service yourself, and a URL that would like to your service, you can put the link in your website, on each page or on a contact page. It's not like having it embedded, but it's very much like the service most people have which opens a new window for the chat service.

It's only the embedding of features that is tough, linking to them is easy.
