Memorial for the victims of violence

I recently visited the memorial for victims of violence in Mexico City. It has been heavily criticized as it is an official attempt to acknowledge the victims of violence. However, ordinary people have taken over and expressed themselves in very emotive ways. If you are interested in seeing the full gallery click here (knowledge of Spanish helps).

    I meant to comment on this several days ago, but I'm running late. I looked at your gallery and found it quite moving. I think if anyone tried to do something similar in Madrid, it would be covered in obscenities in a few days. Sad. OTOH, Spain doesn't have as much violence as Mexico ne_nau.gif.

    Yes, well-done documentation Cristóbal - but my Spanish is weak and I couldn't understand the text, so, I most appreciate
    the wide shot showing the memorial architecture.

    Thanks Eric and Richard. Eric it would be hard to translate all and I fear it would loose power in the process, sorry. Actually that's why I chose the pic I posted which needs no words... Thanks for looking.
