After many months of drooling over a 50mm 1.4 USM lens for my DRebelXT, I decided I'd take a chance on a 50mm 1.8 instead and I'm very happy with how my pictures turned out on these very dimmly lit pictures of my baby girl. Never would have gotten these shots with my kit lens.....I have a new addiction...its called aquiring more lens!! :D

    Not much tweaking on all of these....only ran them thru Noise Ninja w/ auto-profile to get rid of some noise since I shot these at ISO 1600....was always afraid of high ISO's so sibnce I was testing I said, what the heck...its digital, im not wasting money on film rolleyes1.gif

    Thank you for your kind comments on my daughter....shes' a joy and probably going to be one of the most photographed baby :D

    Thanks Lee, I looked at your gallery and noticed your a fellow Chicago Suburbian too! I can't wait to photograph downtown Chicago, but after seeing your gallery I just might make a trip down there soon!

    Adorable shots. The 4th one has lovely lighting too. I'm buying this lens this week, and I am always impressed with shots I see taken with it.
