In Corsica

I found this individual, a Shield-bug or Stink Bug (Pentatomidae) on a huge pot plant on the front patio of our hotel. I had no idea that it was just one variety of a species with many colour forms, including a bright red one. This one, with the pale yellow borders is var torquata.

The species is now established in southern England:

I was unable to establish whether any of the colour varieties have been found here.

The images have been cropped moderately for composition.

Thanks. Compliments don't come much higher than that. It was not worth doing additional processing on the third one but it shows what the underside looks like.
