Tonight's flurry of activity...

Rain all day means there's little to do, and as night fell, it stayed rotten outside.
So I took a couple indoors before letting the cat in and I had a quick look outside at the rockery where in the rain I found a wet centipede (not the fast one!). Wet moss doesn't help despite diffusion on the flash!
It's safe to conclude that on the wet, the flash & the diffusion couldn't be controlled.

Just wondering if the centipede is actually a millipede - most segment seem to have 2 pairs of legs ?

Correct, Brian.
A Flat-Backed Millipede, Polydesmidae.
The multiple highlights would not normally be present on this species, apart from some shine on the head.
This rain has stimulated the mosses and liverworts to produce abundant fruiting bodies and I have shot quite a variety over the last couple of days.

In the label names of the photos I actiually put "wetmili" as their titles!
