My alternative approach to post processing.... this view was from the Columbia River Gorge on Saturday. I took the brother of my co-worker who was visiting from Puerto Rico... needless to say, after a trip through the gorge, he is ready to leave PR and move to Oregon....

Nice composition. I locked in on "alternative approach" in your lead in and if I put on my alternative approach to assessing a photograph and focus on the art here I think this works nicely. For me I would vote for the yellow orange aspect of the distant sky to go straight across the horizon just over the distant mountain in the left background but that might just be a "this doesn't look like a regular picture" moment. rolleyes1.gif

Great capture of the gorge and Vista Housethumb.gifthumb. Love the gorge and have been thinking about heading down that way in the next few weeks to shoot some falls. Did you get to the eastside?

I don't know where I'm going, but I'm going anyway.

Unfortunately I only got as far East as Horsetail Falls, I had to get back to the West Side of PDX by noon.... I am hoping to get to Starvation Creek quite soon though.
