Trees after the fire

Some of you may have seen it on the news: Australia welcomed the new year in scorching temperatures and huge bush fires. One of these happened close to me. Here is a picture taken next day in less devasted and relatively safe place to take a photo.

    My gosh! It almost looks fake.......We are suffering from VERY dry conditions and Wild fires here in Texas as well.

    Cynthia, I can assure you it is no fake. In fact this is especially selected to include some trees. Most of the Brisbane Waters National Park in that are is just black land - it burnt down to the ground.
    My gosh! It almost looks fake.......We are suffering from VERY dry conditions and Wild fires here in Texas as well.
