    Cheers :). Yeah the Larva are bigger than the actual adult beetles.

    The world's most popular pet beetle. They are tropical chafers. So, either you live in one of the warmer parts of Liverpool or...

    Great pictures although I find them a bit bright.

    Harold, these were photographed under "studio" conditions at Quinces Honey bee farm in South Molton - Devon :)

    Don't seem overly bright to me and I think exposure on the beetles themselves is good. Possibly just the differences between our respective screens ;)

    I have to (until later today) use my son's PC, which is set rather bright, so I try to allow for that. The larva is the best exposure.
