This is one of my favorite shots from my trip to Oklahoma with Dani to spend Christmas and New Year's with her and her family. It was taken on New Year's eve at a place that we both hold dear to us, the site of our first shoot together, Lake Humphreys. :lust I hope you enjoy.

As long as you enjoy the shot then I'm happy. thumb.gif P.S what type of frame would you prefer, or maybe none at all? Thanks!

Lovely colors and good composition! I'm not a big fan of overly big frames either. A thinner white frame would be better for this photo, IMHO. But don't worry about it, it's just a matter of personal preference. :):

Beautiful scene. I think a person sitting near the end of the dock (maybe under the light) staring at the sunset would add some interest. Now where could you find someone to model for you? headscratch.gif

I actually like the frame, but the picture is the subject that's more important. It's such a beautiful image. You captured the moment very nicely. Job well done!

Thanks Fred. The light was intense and very rich at sunsets and sunrises, which seems to go on forever! Almost complete opposite of up here in Ottawa. It made shooting so much more interesting, and we had lots of fun with it. thumb.gif

Thank you Ana. Yeah the way I framed this shot can/could be changed, it's a personal thing I guess. Its all about the shot anyway, so thank you! thumb.gif

Heh thanks Phil! Its hard sometimes to get the photographer as the model when she's off getting shots herself, lol. Thats a great suggestion however, thanks. :D

What frame would I prefer, well that depends on the picture. Always remember if you frame a picture the frame is now part of the picture. I felt the frame didn't help this picture. The light color of it removed some of the colors of the picture. See for yourself...

Remove the frame, look at the picture with no frame at all.. see if the picture doesn't change.... better or worse it will change...

Again... nice picture... if I had taken that picture it would for sure be in my digital picture frame.. (with the other 200 or so pictures it slides through)
