next step= a new lens

just got my first other then the kit lens a canon 40mm 2.8... i was trying it out and Tank here just had to go and stick his nose all up into my focus business

    Conversion, pose and light are pretty nice....
    However, auto-focus point hit the nose......making it sharp and eyes are soft.....which somehow in weird way is working here for some unknown reason.
    Normally, you aim for eyes with auto focus point for all living beings.

    thanks... this was the first hour with this lens ... and was playing in the back yard... there were quite a few shots of the lilacs and of course Tank and i'm really enjoying this new 'toy' ... one small step for me . yada yada yada :)
